I am continually impressed with the work that you all do during our blog tours. I read such interesting, thought-provoking posts, and I always come away more excited about our genre.

Since we have 3 clear goals, it’s always good to have some way of knowing if we’re moving in the right direction. Technorati helps a little. Return of the Guardian-King reached as high as number two on the list of most popular books and is still sitting at number four. If you want to check the list from time to time, the link is http://www.technorati.com/pop/books/.

Amazon helps, too, since it reflects sales, and sales actually create a desire for acquisition editors to consider buying more fantasy. In the past seven days, TitleZ records an average Amazon ranking for RotGK as 25,000+ (compared to 75,000+ for the recent 30-day average). The current ranking is 5,944.

As for bringing traffic to our sites, I have informally observed an increase in comments, see an increase in traffic at my own site, and have received feedback from some of you that indicates more people stop by during the tour.

These are positives, surely, as is the fact that our membership continues to grow. Thanks for your part in getting the word out that Christian science fiction and fantasy does exist.

Our next tour features a webzine, The Sword Review. A few months later we will be focusing on several books that are not the first in a series, much like RotGK. You might consider reading the earlier books by way of preparation. Here’s the schedule, with the place the featured book comes in the series in parenthesis.

* May – The Sword Review webzine
* June – Sharon Hinck The Restorer (first book in The Sword of Lyric series—adult fantasy)
* July – Robin Parrish (Fearless, book 2 of The Dominion Trilogy—supernatural suspense)
* August – George Bryan Polivka Legend of the Firefish (first book in the Trophy Chase Trilogy—adult fantasy)
* September – Austin Boyd (third book in the Mars Hills Classified trilogy—science fiction)
* October – Jonathan Rogers The Bark of the Bog Owl, ( book 1 of the Wilderking Trilogy—middle grade/YA fantasy)

As well as the blog tour is going, please don’t forget to pray—for each other and for the authors we highlight. Without God’s hand, there will be no walls crumbling, no seas parting.

God’s care,

Becky
