It’s almost Christmas! Last time we were preparing for a tour, Halloween was closing in upon us.

I’m sorry for all the drama, but we’re going to change the Starflower tour back to its original dates. I’ve heard from a good number of you and I appreciate that many of you were working to find a way to fit this in this month, but there are too many who just can’t. Plus, not everyone has received the book yet. It just doesn’t seem right to make this tour less than best because a different publisher had a problem.

As far as Angel Eyes is concerned, that one will have to shift to January. I’m not sure yet if we should try to hold two tours in January or just shift the other books back. I’m leaning toward the former, but it will depend on when we receive the books, which haven’t come yet.

So here’s where we stand:

November – No tour
December 17-19 – Starflower by Anne Elisabeth Stengl (Bethany) – fairytale fantasy (Tales of Goldstone Woods series).

January – Angel Eyes by Shannon Dittemore (Thomas Nelson) – YA supernatural
TBA – The Orphan King by Sigmund Brouwer (WaterBrook) –  YA fantasy  (Book 1 in the Merlin’s Immortals series). Tentative
TBA – Sneak by Evan Angler (Thomas Nelson) – Middle grade apocalyptic dystopian (Book 2 of the Swipe series). Tentative

Thanks for your feedback that’s helped me sort through this. I appreciate you all!

Becky

I contacted the publisher about so many (most) of our members not yet receiving the requested review copies of Angel Eyes. It seems there was a glitch in the mailing process. They’re mailing to our list again.

Consequently, since I’ve received our December feature, Starflower by Anne Elisabeth Stengl, and assume the rest of you requesting it have, too, it seems like the best plan is for us to flip our schedule and tour Starflower in November and Angel Eyes in December.

BTW, the few of you who already received Angel Eyes may well get a second copy. Feel free to use that as a give-away.

Let me know if this is going to present problems for you.

Here’s the reworked schedule:

November 26-28 – Starflower by Anne Elisabeth Stengl (Bethany) – fairytale fantasy (Tales of Goldstone Woods series).
December 17-19 – Angel Eyes by Shannon Dittemore (Thomas Nelson) – YA supernatural
January – The Orphan King by Sigmund Brouwer (WaterBrook) –  YA fantasy  (Book 1 in the Merlin’s Immortals series). Tentative
February – Sneak by Evan Angler (Thomas Nelson) – Middle grade apocalyptic dystopian (Book 2 of the Swipe series). Tentative

Hi, All,

Tour Summary. Thanks to each of you who participated during the tour for Stephen Lawhead’s The Spirit Well. What an outstanding group of articles. It was good to see a number of you commenting at other sites, too. A few of you notified me of other places where you’re posting your review. Thank you. While it’s not necessary for you to tell me, it’s still nice to know that you consider it important to spread the word about the books we feature, especially ones you found enjoyable.

October Award. Starting today you may vote for the October CSFF Top Tour Blogger. Those who are eligible posted all three days during the tour for Stephen Lawhead’s The Spirit Well. You can find the poll here:http://rebeccaluellamiller.wordpress.com/2012/10/26/csff-tour-wrap-the-spirit-well/

Book Offer. Our December feature is the upcoming release Starflower by Anne Elisabeth Stengl (Bethany), a fairytale fantasy, fourth in the Tales of Goldstone Woods series. Anne Elisabeth assures me that this is a good introduction book and readers new to the series will not feel lost.  Below is further information about the book to help you decide if this is one you’d like to review. This tour will run the third week in December—Monday, December 17 through Wednesday, December 19.

By the way, as Christmas approaches, keep in mind the books we’ve toured and the ones you’ve enjoyed. Is there someone on your shopping list who might be a perfect fit for some of those books?

But back to this specific novel, if you decide you’re interested in requesting a review copy of Starflower by Anne Elisabeth Stengl, please send me your NAME and ADDRESS by Tuesday morning, October 30, 9:00 AM (Pacific time).

Starflower – Book four, Tales of Goldstone Wood

When a cursed dragon-witch kidnaps the lovely Lady Gleamdren, Eanrin sets boldly forth on a rescue mission…and a race against his rival for Gleamdren’s favor. Intent upon his quest, the last thing the immortal Faerie needs is to become mixed up with the troubles of an insignificant mortal.

But when he stumbles upon a maiden trapped in an enchanted sleep, he cannot leave her alone in the dangerous Wood Between. One waking kiss later, Eanrin suddenly finds his story entangled with that of young Starflower. A strange link exists between this mortal girl and the dragon-witch. Will Starflower prove the key to Lady Gleamdren’s rescue? Or will the dark power from which she flees destroy both her and her rescuer?

Tour Details. This month’s tour for The Spirit Well by Stephen Lawhead runs Monday through Wednesday. For those of you who received review copies of the book, please remember to include a disclaimer such as the following: In conjunction with the CSFF Blog Tour, I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.

Also, take time to visit at least five other participating sites during the tour and leave a comment. Nothing helps more to create interest in a book than linking to each other’s articles and interacting with the ideas other participants are discussing.

Some of you already do a great job posting your review in multiple places. I’d encourage others to do the same. If you are on Facebook, be sure to share the links to your tour posts. You can also announce the tour on Twitter, then afterward you can post your review at places like Amazon, Goodreads, and B&N.

Don’t forget Speculative Faith as a place where you can post your review. Visit http://www.speculativefaith.com/submit-a-novel-review to be featured in the Spec Faith header. Or post a brief recommendation as a comment to the book -http://www.speculativefaith.com/library/the-telling/

Happy Fall Equinox (Almost),

In you haven’t already, please take a moment to refresh your memory about our tour procedures. One of our goals is to call attention to each other’s blogs, so an important part of each tour is listing, visiting, and commenting on the posts of other participants. It’s important that the list is accurate. Please be sure to scan the Opt in/out guidelines below. Requesting a review copy of the featured books does not replace your need to opt in for the tour. Also, reserve some time during the tour to visit at least five CSFF sites. My copy of The Telling finally arrived Tuesday. Assuming that the rest of those requesting review copies received theirs sometime this week also, I’ve decided to shift the tour back a week to give us a chance to actually read the novel. Consequently, The Telling tour will now be Monday, September 24 through Wednesday, September 26.

If this poses a problem for some reason, please let me know.

Enjoy the book.

Becky

Please extend a warm welcome to the newest member of the CSFF Blog tour!
